A Growing Market For Shoe Industry
During 2015, Vietnam has showed its potential in shoe industry with 21.9% export growth in the first 11 months. After that, that number exceeded to 32.1%, bringing more than 9 billion dollars in abroad sale with nearly 3 billion dollar in US particular. Footwear export reaches to more than 50 countries making Vietnam become the third largest footwear exporter in the world currently with China, European Union and United State are second largest importing destinations of the industry. Furthermore, the Free Trade Agreement (FTAs) along with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement are expected to be signed, making Vietnamese footwear and leather industry the main production base for foreign investment. Now we need is to have good preparation for both raw materials as well as high-skilled labors when foreign businesses approach. This will be an opportunity for the expansion to the footwear industry in Vietnam by increasing demand of consumers and the eager to join the market by global firms.
